Job Description

We are seeking a high-performing Service Sales Representative with experience or interest in the power generation / generator services industry. This role focuses on driving service sales growth across a defined Midwest territory, supporting customers with critical backup power solutions including maintenance agreements, repairs, and emergency service. You will play a key role in expanding our footprint in generator service contracts, developing new business, and strengthening relationships with existing customers across industries such as healthcare, data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities Drive service sales growth for generator maintenance agreements, inspections, repairs, and emergency service offerings. Manage and expand existing customer accounts while actively developing new business opportunities across the Midwest territory. Identify opportunities to increase service penetration, including preventative maintenance contracts, load bank testing, fuel polishing, and upgrades. Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to grow revenue, improve margins, and increase market share in the generator service sector. Prepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements; negotiate terms in alignment with company policies. Build strong relationships with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and key decision-makers. Act as the primary liaison between customers and service/technical teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Service Management and technicians to ensure timely completion of service work and adherence to customer expectations. Respond to customer inquiries and service issues quickly, ensuring minimal downtime for critical power systems. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and pipeline reporting. Identify market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for business expansion within the territory. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in generator service, power systems, industrial equipment, or related field. Strong understanding of generator systems, backup power solutions, or industrial service sales is highly preferred. Proven track record in business development and account management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM/ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus. Willingness to travel frequently within the Midwest region.
