Basic computer proficiency (order management systems, email, Microsoft Office). Valid authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, or related products and the wholesale distribution industry. Experience managing contractor relationships or key accounts in a wholesale or trade environment. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience. Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events. Demonstrated interest in taking on increasing responsibility within a branch or sales operation.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and key accounts to drive repeat business and long-term customer loyalty. Conduct direct sales activities including prospecting, presenting product offerings, bidding projects, and closing deals. Manage the Duluth market territory, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the branch's customer base. Provide exceptional service at the counter and over the phone, addressing product questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Support branch operations as needed, including picking and receiving orders, processing deliveries, and assisting at the counter - contributing to a smooth and reliable customer experience. Help maintain an organized, well-stocked branch environment that supports efficient daily operations. Identify opportunities to improve branch processes and contribute to overall branch performance goals.
What We Offer:
Competitive compensation and benefits package. Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) - as an employee-owned company, you share directly in the company's success and build long-term wealth alongside your colleagues. A collaborative, close-knit team environment where your contributions are recognized and valued.
