Job Description

PT Monument Sales Representative At Northland Companies, we understand that a monument is more than stone — it is a lasting tribute to someone deeply loved. Families come to us during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we are looking for someone who can meet them with compassion, patience, and genuine care. We are seeking a caring, motivated, and relationship-driven Monument Sales Representative to help families create meaningful memorials that honor the lives and stories of those they have lost. This role is not about "hard selling." It is about listening well, guiding families through important decisions, and helping them feel supported during a difficult time. If you are someone who connects naturally with people, values empathy, and also enjoys the challenge of building relationships and growing a business, this can be an incredibly rewarding career. About the Role As a field sales representative, you will work directly with families, funeral homes, and community partners throughout your sales territory. You'll help guide customers through monument and memorial options while building trust and long-term relationships within the communities we serve. You will have the opportunity to manage your own territory, develop new business relationships, and create meaningful experiences for customers who are counting on us during emotional times. What You'll Do Meet with families and customers to help them design meaningful memorials for loved ones Build strong relationships through compassion, trust, and attentive service Follow up with potential customers and community partners in a thoughtful and professional manner Develop and grow your territory through networking, referrals, and community involvement Stay informed about products, materials, and industry trends to best serve customer needs Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity within our CRM system Attend trainings, meetings, community events, and trade shows as needed What We're Looking For A caring and empathetic person who genuinely enjoys helping others Strong communication and relationship-building skills Sales experience preferred, especially in relationship-based or consultative sales Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently Comfortable having sensitive conversations with professionalism and compassion Experience using a CRM system is helpful Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required High school diploma required; additional education is a plus Compensation $25,000 - $60,000 yearly plus commission opportunities About Northland Companies Northland Companies is a family-owned business serving homeowners, contractors, builders, and families across Minnesota.
