They help customers find what they're looking for, answer questions about products and assist with product selection and purchase. As a member of our sales team you will be responsible for the following: Customer Service Welcome each guest in your own authentic way. Identify and approach customers in the store. Provide information about products and services to customers who visit or call the store for information. Assist customers at the cash registers as needed and place orders for delivery. Deliver an exceptional guest experience by prioritizing customer needs. Revenue Generation Provide customers with product knowledge and recommendations to help them select the right gift/products/plants for their needs. Assist customers with selecting and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment for gardening projects. Recommend alternative products to meet customer needs and/or to increase success at home. Store Operations Assist stock team in opening, unpacking and pricing merchandise. Perform stocking, restocking, and rotation of merchandise on shelves. Assist in implementing and maintaining seasonal product displays. Ensure the physical cleanliness, security and maintenance of the store. People Management Provide work direction to other associates in the absence of the supervisor. Assign specific tasks to associates. Monitor the team's performance. Train other associates in product knowledge, store operational processes and/or POS.
