Inside Sales Representative - Tooling, Parts and Accessories

Position Overview Northwest Machine is seeking a motivated and customer focused Inside Sales Representative to support our growing business in cutting tools, parts, and machine accessories. This role is critical in driving daily customer engagement, supporting our outside sales team, and delivering fast, accurate solutions that keep our customers' machines running at peak performance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical sales environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships. This is an on-site role and the shift for this position is Mon-Fri 8:00 AM- 5:00PM Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Support Respond to inbound customer inquiries for cutting tools, workholding, parts, and accessories Generate quotes, process orders, and follow up on open opportunities Proactively reach out to customers for repeat business, promotions, and new product offerings Support outside sales engineers and service team with tooling packages and/or parts support Assist customers with identifying the correct replacement parts and accessories Product & Technical Knowledge Develop strong knowledge of: Cutting tools and tooling applications Machine parts and accessories Workholding and shop consumables Work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure accurate recommendations Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product availability, pricing, and lead times Order Management & Operations Enter and manage orders in ERP/CRM system Track order status, shipments, and backorders Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery timelines Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity Team Collaboration Partner with the Northwest Machine sales, service, and engineering teams Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and customer events Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture Qualifications Required 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial sales experience Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems Preferred Experience in manufacturing, machining, or CNC environments Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, holders, and tooling systems Familiarity with CNC machines or CNC parts and service Technical aptitude with ability to learn product applications quickly Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary compensation based on experience.
