Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all equipment is organized and in good working condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various types of vehicles, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities Operate and maintain yard equipment including forklifts,trailers and flatbed trucks. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. Assist with route driving as needed, including operating manual transmission vehicles. Manage inventory of materials and supplies within the yard. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a clean work environment. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational standards. Qualifications Previous experience in truck driving or commercial driving Familiarity and flatbed operations is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads as required. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. A valid driver's license is required; commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
