Job description Competitive Base + Team Based Commission We're looking for a highly motivated individual to become a part of the successful Catering Team at Bandana's Bar-B-Q Home Office! About Us Bandana's Bar-B-Q has been providing southern style bbq since 1996! We have a total of 22 corporate stores, with 6 franchises throughout the Midwest Region. Who are we looking for? An ideal candidate would be personable, have great customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude! Prior industry knowledge is highly encouraged. Our Catering Specialists plan catering events consisting of small office luncheons to large corporate events, weddings, group reservations, and so much more! This is a fun environment that allows you to be creative and use your catering knowledge and expertise to help our clients create the perfect catering menu for their event. The primary responsibility of the catering position is to seamlessly complete BEOs for all upcoming events and schedule them with the local Bandana's restaurants. Catering Specialists are also responsible for developing existing business and soliciting new catering business through lead generation and marketing strategies to meet sales goals. Important duties include booking, selling, planning, dispatching, and coordinating events while assuring the highest level of customer service. Generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring reservation space, generating repeat business, and conducting catering sales calls fall under the scope of the catering specialist position.

Duties & Responsibility:

• Build relationships with clients, venues, and businesses
• Complete BEOs for all Catering Events scheduled with the Catering Dept and dispatch to Bandana's restaurants
• Discuss catering options and event details with the guest to help plan a successful catering event that meets/exceeds the guest's expectations.
• Communicate all details and special requests of the event with store management and catering staff
• Schedule events and verify store availability
• Facilitate repeat and new business for catering functions through professional sales techniques.
• Help meet monthly sales expectations
• Maintain customer satisfaction
• Act as a liaison between clients and stores

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year office experience
• Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
• Possess a passion for the foodservice/hospitality industry
• Must be able to successfully handle high call volumes
• Must demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer use with a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
• Familiar with Google Workspace
• Ability to sit at a desk and provide excellent customer service during business hours
• Ability to multitask
• Reliable transportation
