POSITION SUMMARY
The Fine Art Sales Consultant will have a detailed understanding of the WALLS brand and have complete product and gallery knowledge to successfully provide every visitor the "WALLS Experience". They will follow an informal yet strategic sales process that shares Benjamin Walls's work and his incredible passion for exceptional art and conservation with the intent of turning casual gallery visitors into WALLS collectors and travelers. The Fine Art Sales Consultant is responsible for following up with potential and current clients to inform them of any company events, new releases, promotions, and initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide visitors through the gallery and engage them in the artwork by highlighting and conveying the meaning and significance of the artist's images. Assess visitor preferences and motivation for connecting with the art so as to recommend the images that best suit their individual needs. Guide visitors through the gallery and engage them in the travel opportunities by highlighting and conveying the meaning and benefit of the experiences. Assess visitor preferences and motivation for connecting with the destination so as to recommend the trips that best suit their individual needs. Guide visitors through the gallery and engage them in informed conversation regarding sustainably sourced wine. Offer kind and consistent hospitality by offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the WALLS Wine Bar experience. Give a full presentation following the sales process using proper lighting, voice tone, and engaging the visitor in a rapport building way for Art, Travel, and Wine sales. Present summary close with price after building the value of the artwork and travel experiences. Enter and maintain all new leads and clients into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Follow up with potential clients via telephone and/or email in a timely fashion to close sales. Maintain ongoing communication to build strong, long-lasting relationships. Communicate all pertinent sales and production information to clients and make final arrangements for delivery/installation/shipment of their artwork. Communicate all pertinent sales and travel preparation details in collaboration with travel concierge team. Execute on the Company sales cycle for Art, Travel, and Wine, including processing sales & payments, submitting work orders and travel documents, tracking image production timelines, and tracking travel preparation timelines. Develop a solid understanding and appreciation of the company mission and how to effectively communicate and promote it to gallery visitors and current clients. Increase knowledge of the WALLS brands including Art, Travel, and Wine. Represent the WALLS brand in positive terms at all times, whether at work or at leisure. Maintain gallery cleanliness and overall appearance at all times. Maintain professional demeanor at all times with staff, visitors and collectors. Participate in the successful execution of gallery events, as directed by gallery management. Participate in monthly team meetings and other meetings as needed. Attend off-site events as needed. Other duties as assigned by gallery management or Owner, may vary based on the needs of the business.
PHYSICAL/WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
: Must be available to work a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs Must be able to serve alcoholic beverages to guests. Must be able to work with standard cleaning product.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication and presentation skills The ability and confidence to deal with a wide range of people. Demonstrated ability to work in an often high-volume environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Professional telephone and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including Adobe, CRM, Microsoft Office and Google platforms.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1-3 years sales experience required, preferably in luxury sales. Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and establishing/maintaining strong client relationships.
EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE
High School Diploma required College degree preferred Knowledge of fine art helpful
