This is a territory-based, new-business-focused role for a motivated sales professional who thrives on prospecting, relationship-building, and closing opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge and a consultative approach to delivering tailored security solutions across DEPS' Core 4 offerings: intrusion systems, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, and access control . Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Execution Proactively identify, prospect, and generate new business within the assigned territory west of Goldsboro through cold calling, referrals, networking, site visits, and targeted outreach. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across commercial, industrial, and select residential markets. Conduct on-site security assessments to identify risks, operational needs, and compliance considerations. Design and recommend customized electronic security solutions, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and integration options. Prepare accurate proposals, quotes, and contracts that reflect customer needs, applicable codes, and DEPS standards. Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines and close sales effectively. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets. Customer Relationship Management Build long-term customer relationships through consistent follow-up, responsiveness, and a consultative sales approach. Clearly communicate project scope, timelines, and expectations to customers. Coordinate smooth transitions from sale to operations by providing complete and accurate project documentation. Support customer satisfaction and retention through post-installation check-ins and identification of expansion or upgrade opportunities. Internal Collaboration & Accountability Work closely with the install coordinators, project managers, installation technicians, and service teams to ensure successful project execution. Participate in regular sales and team meetings to review pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and address challenges. Maintain timely, accurate records of sales activities, proposals, and customer communications in the CRM system (FieldHub). Adhere to DEPS sales processes, documentation standards, and reporting expectations. Represent DEPS professionally at community events, trade shows, and business networking functions. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the electronic security industry (intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, or related low-voltage technologies). Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close new business. Strong working knowledge of electronic security system design, products, and integrations. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or similar tools. Valid NC driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and complete registration through the NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board (NC ASLB) . Preferred Qualifications Experience selling recurring monthly revenue (RMR) services. Established professional network within Central or Eastern North Carolina. Familiarity with structured sales accountability frameworks or performance scorecards.
