Job Description

Brown & Brown is seeking a Property Casualty Business Development Representative to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC! The Business Development Representative is an inside sales role focused on engaging inbound and assigned leads, guiding prospects through coverage options, and supporting the placement of commercial insurance solutions. You'll educate prospects and help business owners protect what matters most.
How You Will Contribute:
Manage inbound and assigned commercial insurance leads. Proactively contact prospects via phone and email to understand business needs. Qualify opportunities by identifying risk exposures and coverage requirements. Educate prospects on coverage options, endorsements, exclusions, and pricing. Prepare, present, and explain insurance quotes clearly and professionally. Bind new business policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and state requirements. Document all activities accurately in CRM and agency management systems. Meet or exceed monthly performance goals, including new business premium and bind ratio. Collaborate with underwriting and customer success teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
Active Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain one. Skills & Experience to be
Successful:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple leads in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Commercial insurance experience. (preferred) Experience working toward sales or performance metrics.
