Job Description

Our client is a family-owned manufacturing company specializing in producing custom-engineered gaskets, seals, adhesives, and precision die-cut components for OEM industries. They are searching for a Territory Sales Representative to join their team ASAP!
Salary:
$100-140k base salary + full comprehensive benefits
Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. This role will focus on both expanding existing business within established accounts and identifying new business opportunities across the region. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with a proactive sales mindset who can effectively balance account management (farmer) responsibilities with new business development (hunter) activities. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to customers by understanding operational challenges, providing solutions, and driving long-term account growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts throughout the assigned territory Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market development activities Maintain regular customer contact through in-person meetings, job site visits, presentations, and industry events Develop a strong understanding of customer operations, business needs, and competitive market conditions Partner with customers to provide product recommendations, technical solutions, and problem resolution Manage commercial aspects of customer relationships including pricing discussions, contract support, margin management, and implementation of price increases Collaborate with internal teams including operations, customer service, engineering, and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution Develop territory growth strategies and execute sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals Track pipeline activity, customer opportunities, and sales forecasts within CRM systems Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities Support product launches, promotional initiatives, and strategic sales programs within the territory Travel throughout the assigned region to support customer relationships and business development efforts
Qualifications:
5+ years of outside sales, territory management, or business development experience within industrial, manufacturing, or related industries Proven ability to manage large customer accounts while simultaneously developing new business opportunities Strong relationship-building and communication skills Experience handling commercial discussions including pricing, negotiations, and customer issue resolution Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor's degree preferred
