Job Description

Professional Woodworking experience preferred. Leitz is the most progressive cutting tool company in the woodworking, plastics, and advanced material industries. We are seeking an energetic and technical-minded salesperson to add to our team. Learn how Leitz high-quality, advanced tooling solutions continue to advance woodworking and related industries . Interact with a diverse range of manufacturers, from a consultative sales standpoint, providing them with solutions that will continuously improve their process efficiency.
Region and location:
We are looking for a competent Service Sales Representative for our North Carolina region. This position would utilize our service facility located in Archdale, NC .
Compensation:
Starting at $40,000.00, base salary plus monthly territory commission. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and knowledge of the woodworking tooling and industry. Duties Responsible to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and support other sales members to ensure sales are maximized. Duties include all sales and other activities to maximize sales, including sales related activities for service center, area distributors and regional sales/service/inside sales representatives, material resource, inventory control, and production planning with assigned customers. Essential Functions Learn, understand, consultatively promote, and sell the entire range of Leitz products and services. Directly interface with current and prospective clients to gain understanding of current production processes, and where/how Leitz products may enhance processes. Generate agreed level of product and service sales within defined territory. Continuously prospect potential customers and develop new business. Manage customer base efficiently regarding direct interface and revenue potential. Prepare quotations for new and custom tooling within your comfort zone. Manages material resources and production forecasting with customers. Inventory control and management. Serve as company liaison with customers on all sales, accounting, shipping and other administrative matters. Follow-up on sales orders to ensure timely delivery, acceptable performance and customer satisfaction. Promote special products, promotions, and programs to target customers when available. Stay abreast of market conditions and customer needs. Maintain daily contact with key customers and customer service. Assist in developing long-range growth forecasts, strategies, and business plans. Participate in beneficial association functions and maintain relations with associated industry suppliers. Report current competitive activities and assist in developing marketing solutions and strategies. Maintain a current and accurate database of daily, weekly, and monthly activities. Processing necessary paperwork using the required company systems. Communicate effectively with customers and sales personnel. Operate delivery vehicle in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner. Maintain local satellite facility and on site inventory management. Handle LTL freight shipments to and from service centers.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of field sales, service, or technical support experience. Computer software experience including Microsoft Office Products preferred. Knowledge of woodworking processes and tools is a plus. Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record is mandatory, Ability to learn and develop a good understanding of company products and services to meet customer needs.
