Wholesale Yard Lead

Pay:

$22.00-$24.50 per hour

Job Overview:

Renfroe Valley Tree Farms is seeking a dependable, experienced team member to take ownership of operations for the wholesale nursery portion of the business. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing plant material, training and overseeing yard crews, organizing the yard, and serving as a key point of contact for walk-in customers. Ideal candidates are comfortable working outdoors, capable of leading others, and able to handle physical tasks throughout the day.

Duties:

Take ownership of wholesale nursery operations, including incoming and outgoing plant material. Train, organize, and oversee yard crews. Organize and maintain the yard for efficient operations. Greet, assist, and sell to walk-in customers. Unload and properly place incoming plant material. Assist with pulling and loading customer orders. Support routine plant maintenance and care. Perform field work, including harvesting trees (training provided). Safely operate equipment such as skid steers and forklifts (training provided). Work outdoors in various weather conditions. Help maintain farm grounds, including mowing, trimming, and spraying. Lift 25-50 lbs on a regular basis.

Requirements:

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Leadership ability and experience training or directing other workers. Comfortable performing physical labor and working outdoors. Sales experience or comfort with customer-facing interactions. Prior experience in agriculture, landscaping, nursery operations, or equipment operation preferred.
