At Garaventa Lift, a division of Savaria, we are an industry-leading residential and commercial lift/elevator company dedicated to providing a high standard of accessibility solutions. Recognized as one of the top companies in NE for accessibility, we specialize in selling, installing, and servicing a variety of accessibility lifts, including residential elevators and Commercial limited Use elevators. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented salesperson to join our team. Position Summary The Salesperson would be responsible for handling all daily sales operations with the sales team. It s a mature experienced position reporting directly to our General Manager of the United States. A qualified candidate would be part of our NE team responsible for handling their own key accounts but also developing new sales opportunities. Our business is both a b2b and b2c (we sell directly to builders and to homeowners). Our ideal salesperson has in-depth knowledge of the sales process, excelling at lead generation and networking through the professional community (architects, engineers and builders), is good at relationship building, and holds a strong understanding of the bidding process. We re seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. This position will cover South/West of Boston, Cape Cod and Rhode Island. The Position offers a competitive base salary and lucrative uncapped commission structure which can provide a professional qualified candidate $80,000 - $100,000 in year one and around $120,000 and above after year 2 with Top earners making $180,000 plus. Responsibilities Directly handle key accounts. Work with the sales and general manager to ensure booking and quote objectives are met. Work with the sales team to plan sales strategies, review pipeline and ensure margins are being respected. Utilize our customer relationship tools to ensure leads are promptly and activity followed up thorough-out the entire sales cycle. Carryout and attend AIA learning seminars and networking builder events Attend site meetings and customer document reviews to ensure the correct design is being offered and build report. Acquire signed quotes or customer contracts for review by our General Manager. Work with Garaventa Project Management to help assist the customer through the fabrication process, to installation and perform turnovers. Address and resolve any customer concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. Mindset, Skills & Education An Associate s Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training. A Minimum of a H.S. Diploma or equivalent with sales experience is required. Experience in construction trade or technical sales is a plus Very competent IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS products. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required. Good communication skills and ability to use email effectively in a professional manor. Good follow up and conflict resolution skills needed to close tasks and projects. Some marketing flair is a plus & comfortable in networking environment/activities. The ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Ability to read architectural plans and drawings Knowing lift/elevator code is a plus but at a minimum be willing to learn.
