This position serves as the primary internal contact for customers and outside sales representatives, managing all aspects of quoting, order management, and customer communication. The Inside Sales Representative will proactively identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, provide accurate product and pricing information, and work collaboratively across departments to deliver efficient and customer-focused service in line with OEC's policies and standards. Key Responsibilities Sales Support & Quoting Create and administer accurate and timely sales quotations based on input from Outside Sales Representatives or Sales Managers. Follow up on open quotes to convert opportunities into sales. Maintain a thorough understanding of OEC's product portfolio to support customer needs and sales initiatives. Order Management Enter and process customer orders accurately in OEC's order management system. Track and manage open orders, coordinating with logistics and materials management to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, or changes. Customer Engagement Serve as a primary internal point of contact for assigned customers, building and maintaining strong relationships. Respond to incoming calls and inquiries promptly, ensuring high availability and responsiveness. Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling during customer interactions. Product & Technical Support Provide product information and support using available catalogs, datasheets, and internal resources. Forward technical or detailed product inquiries to Field Engineers or other specialists when necessary. Claims & Returns Administration Manage customer claims, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution in collaboration with Quality and Logistics teams. Administer product returns according to company policy. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to support account growth and customer satisfaction. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Sales Department. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or order management—preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, etc.). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
