Job Description
Eastern Drayage is one of the nation's leading port logistics companies. The Opportunity We're looking for a driven sales outreach specialist to target large U.S. importers — think major retailers, manufacturers, and distributors that are constantly moving goods through American ports. You don't need to know anything about shipping. You need to know how to get the right person on the phone, build rapport, and open doors. This role is built for someone who thrives on outreach and loves the moment a conversation turns into an opportunity. The targets are large, well-known companies with real shipping needs — and when you connect with the right person at the right time, the result can be a significant, long-term account. One closed client can mean substantial commissions for years to come, not a single payout. The earning potential here grows with every account you bring in. What You'll Do
- Cold call and cold email decision-makers at large U.S. importing companies
- Introduce Eastern Drayage's port logistics services in clear, non-technical terms
- Qualify prospects, build a pipeline, and set meetings for follow-up
- Work closely with our operations team to close and onboard new accounts
- Manage your outreach cadence and pipeline using our CRM tools What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in cold calling, outbound sales, or business development
- A hunter mentality — self-motivated, persistent, and energized by the chase
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to hold a conversation at the executive level
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and a longer sales cycle
- No logistics background required — we'll train you on the industry Residual Commissions Freight is not a one-and-done transaction.
- Base salary: $50,000
- $65,000/year
- Significant commission on all new accounts with residual earnings on ongoing volume
- Unlimited earning potential — your book of business grows with you
