$33,280•$43,680 per year (based on experience) We are looking for a motivated, sales-driven Optical Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a strong retail salesperson who enjoys working with people and helping patients look and see their best. Our practice offers a high-quality eyewear selection , and we are seeking someone who is confident in presenting premium products, building patient relationships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Optical experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong retail sales background who are eager to learn the optical industry are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Assist patients in selecting frames, ophthalmic lenses, sunglasses, and contact lenses Deliver a consultative sales experience that helps patients choose the best eyewear solutions Verify and authorize vision insurance benefits Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale system Maintain attractive frame displays and retail merchandising Answer phones and assist with appointment scheduling Support inventory management and product organization Participate in practice marketing events and community outreach when needed Contribute to meeting sales goals and revenue targets What We're Looking For Proven retail sales experience required Optical sales experience strongly preferred Ability to confidently recommend premium eyewear products Strong communication and relationship-building skills A positive, energetic, and patient-focused personality Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment Strong attention to detail with order entry and insurance verification Basic math skills for retail transactions
