Job Description Job Description Under the direction of the Banquet Sales Operations Manager, this position represents Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) to potential clients seeking room rentals, meeting spaces, and food and beverage services. The role involves responding to inquiries, prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and analyzing lost business. The individual develops and executes sales plans to meet revenue goals while coordinating with other departments to ensure quality service delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining professional relationships, attending trade shows, reading industry publications, and staying informed about event and meeting management trends. The position requires strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude while adhering to LDC's core values and policies. Essential duties also include planning events, evaluating service providers, maintaining detailed records, and conducting post-event reviews. The role demands flexibility to work long or irregular hours, travel as needed, and maintain a State Issued Alcohol Service Certificate. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with a bachelor's degree in marketing or hotel management desired, plus at least one year of relevant food and beverage experience.
