Job Description

Job Overview The Inside B2C Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by engaging directly with end user customers, understanding their laboratory equipment needs, and recommending appropriate solutions. This role focuses on managing inbound inquiries, generating outbound sales opportunities, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable selling technical products across a diverse customer base including educators, industrial, and independent researchers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs Services existing customers, obtains orders, and establishes new customers by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online channels in a timely and professional manner Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate laboratory equipment solutions (glassware, metalware, plasticware, etc.) Proactively generate new sales opportunities through outbound calls, follow-ups, and lead nurturing Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, process orders, and ensure smooth transaction completion Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities within the CRM system Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support promotions, product launches, and inventory availability Stay informed on product features, applications, and industry trends to effectively communicate value to customers Address customer concerns or issues and coordinate with internal teams to ensure resolution and satisfaction Meets monthly individual sales goals and contributes to the overall team sales goals Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual sales analyses Understanding and utilizing our ecommerce platforms on the B2C businesses, including: Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc. Education and Experience Qualifications Degree in business or science, science experience 1-3 years of inside sales, customer service, or B2C sales experience, preferably in a technical or product-based environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a fast-paced environment Experience using CRM systems and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms) Comfortable learning and selling technical products; familiarity with laboratory equipment is a plus Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Travel Requirements Some travel required (e.g. Trade Shows)
Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Typically works in an office with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 25 lbs. Pay:
$58,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
