Customer visits, trade shows frequently About the Role Scoochie Pet Products Corp. is hiring an Sales Representative to help grow our wholesale customer base in the pet industry. This is a growth role for someone eager to get their start in sales, learn fast, and build real skills in prospecting, relationship management, and wholesale selling. Key Responsibilities Generate leads and prospect new wholesale accounts (phone/email/outreach lists) Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities; schedule calls and follow-ups Present products/programs, answer questions, and help close new accounts Support existing accounts with reorders, promotions, and product recommendations Maintain an organized pipeline in CRM/tracking tools; log activity and outcomes Prepare sales materials and pitch decks (PowerPoint/Google Slides) for buyers Collaborate with finance and leadership on market strategy, pricing/programs, and account targeting Coordinate internally with operations/warehouse to support smooth fulfillment and communication Travel as needed for key accounts, events, or trade shows (mileage reimbursed) Required Skills / Qualifications Strong computer literacy (email, Excel/Google Sheets, basic systems/CRM) Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable on the phone Coachable, hardworking, and consistent with follow-through Comfortable with outbound outreach and handling basic objections Organized and able to manage multiple conversations/tasks at once Willing to travel occasionally Preferred (Nice to Have) Inside sales, customer service, retail, or distribution experience CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) Interest or background in pet products / wholesale Basic PowerPoint/Slides comfort (clean, professional decks) What We Offer Competitive base + commission upside Mileage allowance for approved travel Training in wholesale sales, product knowledge, and account development High visibility with leadership and room to grow quickly based on performance 401(K) with matching
