About Don Brown Bus Sales For 45+ years, Don Brown Bus Sales has been a trusted provider of new and used buses, commercial shuttles, and specialty vehicles nationwide. We're known for our deep inventory, in-house expertise, custom build capability, strong service support, and financing solutions that help customers buy with confidence. The Role (Who this is for) This is a true outside "hunter" sales role for an experienced B2B rep who thrives on prospecting, building a territory, and closing deals. You'll work the downstate, NY market and surrounding area, selling to organizations that operate vehicles and need reliable transportation solutions. If you've succeeded in outside sales where you own the full cycle (cold prospecting → discovery → demo → quote → close → follow-up), you'll do well here. What You'll Do Prospect daily (cold calls, field visits, networking, referrals) to generate new opportunities Build and manage a pipeline of fleet/commercial buyers in your territory Conduct on-site meetings, needs assessments, and product demos Develop quotes and guide customers through financing and purchasing steps Grow and retain existing accounts through consistent follow-up and service Maintain accurate activity and pipeline notes (CRM) Hit weekly activity targets and monthly/quarterly sales goals What Success Looks Like You consistently keep your pipeline full through proactive field prospecting You can confidently run sales calls, handle objections, and close You build long-term relationships with decision-makers (owners, ops managers, fleet managers, purchasing) Requirements (Please read — we're hiring for experience) 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience (5+ preferred) Strong record of hitting or exceeding quotas in a hunter role Comfortable with frequent in-person visits and cold outreach Skilled in presentation, negotiation, and closing Highly organized, self-directed, and consistent with follow-up Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the territory Commercial vehicle/fleet/transportation experience is a plus (not required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive base + commission (uncapped) Paid training and onboarding Health insurance, dental, vision, HSA Life insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Employee discount Tuition reimbursement
