Job Description
About the Company This role is with a fast‑scaling, Series A AI firm that builds intelligent automation tools for the financial sector. Their technology helps investment teams move faster by transforming scattered information, think documents, filings, transcripts, reports, into structured insights that support core workflows in credit, private markets, research, and portfolio monitoring. The company has earned the trust of major global financial institutions and is backed by well‑known venture investors. They're now expanding their U.S. commercial team and are hiring their first New York based sales executive to accelerate adoption across buy‑side and private market clients. The Opportunity This is a role for someone who thrives in new business hunting and wants to be part of an early-stage, high‑growth AI fintech. You'll own a portfolio of target accounts, run the full sales cycle, and drive adoption of a highly differentiated AI product suite. You will be selling a set of repeatable, workflow‑focused AI solutions, and with the product line expanding, there is significant opportunity for both net-new acquisition and expansion within existing client groups. You'll report directly to the Head of Sales and work closely with the founders. Responsibilities Build and manage a targeted list of financial institutions across credit, equities, private markets, insurance, and asset management. Run a high‑activity outbound motion: prospecting, introductions, discovery, demos, and POCs. Lead sophisticated consultative sales conversations with senior stakeholders such as Heads of Credit, Heads of Research, PMs, CTOs, CIOs, and operations leaders. Translate complex investment workflows into clear use cases for AI automation. Partner with Customer Success and Product on client feedback, cross-sell opportunities, and account strategy. Maintain strong pipeline discipline and forecast accurately. Serve as an ambassador for the company's technology in the U.S. market. Required Experience Proven new business sales experience selling into financial institutions (buy‑side or sell‑side). Prior success selling SaaS, workflow tools, analytics platforms, or advanced data/insight products. Familiarity with investment research, credit workflows, or portfolio processes. A track record of managing 30-50 active accounts and driving consistent outbound activity. Strong communication skills and credibility with senior financial decision-makers. Preferred Experience Exposure to AI-driven or NLP-driven solutions. Startup experience, ideally someone who has built pipeline without large teams or infrastructure. Experience selling into asset managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, or private credit funds. Personal Attributes Self‑motivated, reliable, and comfortable operating with minimal oversight. Gritty and persistent; enjoys hunting new logos. Resourceful, hands-on, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. Low‑ego collaborator with a high degree of professionalism. This is not a fit for candidates whose experience is limited to traditional data providers or highly transactional data subscription products. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys the challenge of building business from scratch and is comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. If you meet the outlined qualifications, apply now to be considered!
