ABOUT SIGMA CANNABIS
Sigma Cannabis is a New York State licensed cannabis manufacturer building premium brands for the wholesale market. Our products are in dispensaries across the state and we are scaling fast. We need a driven, relationship-focused sales rep to own the Mid Hudson Valley territory, grow our accounts, and make sure Sigma is the brand dispensaries want on their shelves.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mid Hudson Valley Sales Representative is responsible for growing Sigma's wholesale presence across a territory stretching from Saratoga Springs down through the Hudson Valley to New Paltz and Poughkeepsie, and west to Binghamton. You will be identifying and closing new dispensary accounts, managing and growing existing relationships, driving reorder frequency and SKU penetration, and spending the majority of your time in the field in front of retail buyers and decision-makers. This is a field-based sales role with a base salary, group commission structure, and a monthly activity bonus tied to store check-in volume. You will manage your own territory, schedule, and pipeline with the support of the Sigma sales team and leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Acquisition and Growth Identify, pursue, and close new licensed dispensary accounts within the Mid Hudson Valley territory Build and maintain relationships with dispensary owners, purchasing managers, and key retail decision-makers Manage and grow a portfolio of wholesale accounts, increasing SKU penetration and reorder frequency Conduct in-person sales meetings and sell-ins a minimum of 3 to 4 days per week in the field Pipeline and CRM Management Maintain a structured and active sales pipeline with accurate, up-to-date CRM documentation Track all store visits, conversations, and follow-ups in the Company's CRM or tracking system Forecast weekly and monthly revenue with discipline and accuracy Hit a target of 80 store check-ins per month to qualify for the monthly activity bonus In-Store Support and Brand Execution Coordinate with Brand Ambassadors and field representatives to support budtender education, merchandising, and retail execution Support in-store events and product launches, particularly during periods of expanded field activity Ensure Sigma products are properly displayed, stocked, and merchandised in all accounts Gather and relay market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, product trends, and customer preferences Reporting and Communication Provide consistent updates to the VP of Sales/Operations on pipeline activity, wins, risks, and opportunities Participate in team forecasting exercises and goal-setting processes Submit weekly territory recaps and monthly performance summaries
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation suitable for daily field travel across a multi-county territory Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with retail accounts in a B2B sales environment Comfortable spending 3 to 5 days per week on the road conducting in-person meetings and sell-ins Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a pipeline, schedule, and territory independently Excellent communication and negotiation skills Familiarity with the New York cannabis market, including dispensary operations, wholesale purchasing, and the regulatory landscape Proficiency with CRM tools and basic reporting (Google Sheets, Excel, or equivalent) Preferred Prior experience in cannabis wholesale sales, distribution, or account management Existing relationships with dispensary operators, buyers, or retail decision-makers in the Mid Hudson Valley region Knowledge of cannabis strains, terpene profiles, extraction methods, and product categories Experience with ground-up territory building or new market entry
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base Salary $45,000 per year Commission 0.25% group commission structure, calculated monthly based on team goal attainment and paid in arrears on the 20th of the following month. No cap on commission payouts. Attainment above 100% results in proportionally higher payout. Monthly Activity Bonus $500 per month for hitting a target of 80 store check-ins, as verified through CRM documentation. This bonus is non-guaranteed and awarded at the Company's discretion based on consistent and accurate reporting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a field-based role. The majority of your time will be spent traveling to and meeting with dispensary accounts across the Mid Hudson Valley territory. Frequent driving required across a multi-county region. Must be comfortable with daily travel. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (product samples, promotional materials, displays). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events, launches, or trade shows.
