Job Description

The Green Plug is not a typical solar company. While many contractors focus on a single service, we take a comprehensive approach to home energy efficiency. We help homeowners lower utility costs and improve comfort through customized solutions including solar, HVAC upgrades, insulation, windows, and other energy-saving improvements. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and professional Outside Sales Representative who can generate opportunities, build relationships, and help homeowners identify the best solutions for their homes. What You'll Do This is not a sit-behind-a-desk sales role. You will be responsible for generating business, running appointments, and helping drive company growth.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners Educate customers on solar and energy efficiency solutions Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, community outreach, and local events Follow up with company-generated leads Work closely with our Marketing Coordinator to maximize lead generation efforts Build relationships with homeowners, real estate professionals, and local referral partners Maintain accurate records in our CRM Prepare and present proposals Manage prospects through the sales process from initial contact to signed agreement Represent The Green Plug professionally in the field and within the community Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is hungry, self-motivated, and enjoys building relationships.
Qualifications:
Previous sales experience preferred (solar, home improvement, HVAC, roofing, windows, construction, or related industries is a plus) Strong communication and presentation skills Comfortable meeting with homeowners and discussing financial decisions Highly organized and self-directed Ability to generate your own opportunities in addition to company-provided leads Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable working evenings and weekends when needed Compensation & Benefits We believe top performers should be rewarded for results.
