Following our exciting brand relaunch earlier this year, we are blending time-tested engineering with modern digital outreach. We pride ourselves on a transparent, highly collaborative, and energetic culture. We are expanding our footprint with a brand-new, state-of-the-art video demonstration and podcast studio designed to bring personalized, interactive tool training directly to our customers. The Role:
What You'll Do This is a dynamic, hybrid role that sits at the intersection of customer relationship management and digital media. You won't just be answering phones; you will be the face and voice of ShopSmith USA, guiding customers through their woodworking journey from their very first inquiry to live, personalized tool demonstrations. 1. Inbound Sales & Relationship Management Respond to
Inquiries:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound phone calls, website live chats, and email inquiries.
Consultative Selling:
Understand the unique needs of hobbyists and professional woodworkers alike, helping them configure the perfect setup for their shop.
Pipeline Management:
Utilize our primary ERP system ( Odoo ) to create work orders, log customer interactions, track sales pipelines, and follow up with hot leads. 2. On-Camera Product Demonstration & Broadcaster Live 1:1
Virtual Demos:
Conduct personalized, live video demonstrations from our new high-tech studio to show prospective buyers exactly how our machinery operates.
Webinars & Digital Events:
Host interactive webinars, virtual product launches, and Q&A sessions for our broader community.
Content Collaboration:
Partner with our studio videographers and creative team to develop engaging, educational video content that helps customers maximize their machinery post-sale. What We Are Looking For Hands-on Experience (Required): A proven history or background in woodworking, DIY making, construction, cabinetry, or a similar hands-on trade . You need to understand the language of a workshop, feel comfortable operating machinery, and confidently talk shop with our community.
On-Camera Presence:
Energetic, articulate, and comfortable speaking live on camera. You don't need to be a professional actor, but you must be relatable, engaging, and safety-conscious while demonstrating tools.
Customer-First Attitude:
Active listening skills with a genuine desire to solve problems and help others succeed in their craft.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable navigating CRM/ERP systems (experience with Odoo is a major plus) and basic video call interfaces (Zoom, Teams, or streaming platforms). Bilingual or multilingual : abilities are a plus, especially in English and other languages relevant to our client base
Multitasking:
