Responsibilities Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to identify their flooring needs for renovation or remodeling projects. Use tools like SketchUp, CAD, and lighting design software to create accurate layout designs that meet customer specifications. Demonstrate flooring products effectively, highlighting features such as durability, aesthetics, and maintenance requirements to upsell premium options. Assist customers with inside sales transactions, including POS operations, cash handling, and merchandising to ensure a seamless shopping experience. Develop strong account management relationships by providing personalized service, follow-up support, and ongoing communication in multiple languages if applicable. Collaborate with clients on project planning, including layout design and lighting considerations, ensuring all aspects of renovation are addressed comprehensively. Maintain organized stock levels and merchandising displays while supporting marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Requirements Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within the flooring, renovation, or construction industries. Proficiency with SketchUp, CAD, or similar layout design tools; knowledge of lighting design is a plus. Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to close high-end sales effectively. Knowledge of interior design principles, remodeling processes, and maintenance considerations for flooring products. Multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, merchandising strategies, and product demos to enhance customer engagement. Organizational skills necessary to manage account details, marketing efforts, and stock levels efficiently.
