Exempt Outside Sales Representative Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative works directly with customers to manage sales activities, including quoting, price negotiations, and responding to customer inquiries. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, supporting product launches, and maintaining strong customer relationships while coordinating closely with internal teams and overseas headquarters. Key Responsibilities Conduct outside sales activities through customer visits, phone, and email communication Prepare and provide quotations, product information, and samples Identify new customer needs and support new product development opportunities Support customers throughout product launches through mass production Address customer requests related to pricing, delivery schedules, quality, and technical issues in coordination with internal teams Communicate and collaborate with the head office in Japan Qualifications 2-5 years of experience working with or for a Japanese company Outside sales experience preferred, especially in automotive or fastener industries General knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Japanese conversational ability preferred but not required Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately Commitment to workplace safety and compliance May be assigned other duties by managers Work Environment Combination of office-based work and customer travel. This job is 60% office, 40% travel for customers including daily customer visits. Ability to travel as required (Approximately once a month overnight travel.

OH, MI, IL, etc.) Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
