- Full-time Legacy Farmers Cooperative is seeking a Petroleum Distribution Salesman to build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing exceptional sales, service, and delivery of petroleum products.
This position plays an important role in growing the petroleum division by identifying sales opportunities, supporting customer needs, and representing the cooperative in a professional manner. Essential Functions Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new sales opportunities. Conduct scheduled sales calls with customers and prospects and provide regular sales activity updates to management. Recommend appropriate petroleum products and services based on customer needs. Coordinate and complete safe, efficient delivery of petroleum products. Maintain accurate records related to loading, transfers, inventory, deliveries, invoices, and sales activity. Ensure assigned equipment, including company vehicles, is properly operated, maintained, and cared for. Follow all company safety procedures, credit policies, and regulatory requirements. Promote a positive image of Legacy Farmers Cooperative through professional customer service and communication. Demonstrate safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture. Perform physical requirements of the position, including bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements. Must maintain a safe driving record that meets company and insurance provider requirements. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong sales, communication, and customer relationship skills. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and learn new processes quickly. Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation. Ability to adjust schedule and work extended hours during peak business periods as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience or knowledge of petroleum products, lubricants, and related industry practices preferred. Experience in petroleum sales, customer service, or agricultural/industrial markets is a plus. Additional Information Full-time position with a standard Monday-Friday schedule; business needs may require schedule flexibility. No overnight travel required.
