Job Description

Residential Sales Representative — Window Treatments Sikes Interiors Edmond, OK Job Details Full-time From $40,000 a year 12 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Customer relationship building Client rapport building No experience needed Schedule management Full Job Description Residential Sales Representative — Window Treatments Sikes Interiors • Oklahoma City Metro The short version We help people change how their homes look and feel, and we're looking for someone who's great with people, has an eye for what looks good, and likes the idea of getting paid for it. The pay is commission, the upside is real, your schedule is largely your own, and no experience is required — we'll teach you the products start to finish. If that sounds like your kind of setup, keep reading. Sikes Interiors is an authorized Hunter Douglas and Lutron dealer serving the Oklahoma City metro. We put window treatments, drapery, and motorized shades into homes across the area, everything from a single room that needs the right shades to whole-home motorized systems. We handle it start to finish: measure, spec, supply, install. We've got a steady stream of leads coming in and plenty of room to build relationships that bring in more. We're looking for one person who can do both — and who gives a small one-room job the same care as a big one. If you've always been drawn to design and homes, this is a genuine way into that world. The pay It's commission-based and uncapped — you earn on every job you sell, from a single room of shades to a whole-home system. Between the leads we hand you and the business you build yourself, it adds up quickly for someone who stays busy. What the job looks like Sit down with homeowners in their space, help them find treatments that fit their style and budget, and close the sale. Take good care of every client so they send you the next one — referrals and repeat business are a big part of this. Build relationships with local builders, designers, and realtors who can send steady work your way. Manage your own pipeline — your follow-ups, your schedule, your week. Follow up. A lot of the deals are in the follow-up that other people skip. Hand clean, well-organized projects to our measure-and-install team so the client has a great experience. Who we're looking for A people person — warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely happy when a customer ends up with something they love. An eye for design — you notice how a space comes together and can steer someone toward choices they'll be glad they made. A feel for the technical side of motorized shades is a plus, but people skills and design sense matter more. Drive — you follow up, you ask for the referral, and you don't wait for business to come to you. Persistence — you've stuck with something before until it finally paid off. Self-directed — you don't need someone building your day for you. Thick skin about a "no." Most sales take more than one conversation. Comfortable sitting down with a homeowner in their living room or with a designer or builder. What you don't need A college degree. A set number of years doing this. A background in window treatments. What matters is people skills, an eye for design, and the drive to follow through. This is a real way into the home-design world — we'll teach you the products and how we do things; you bring the personality and the hustle. Why it's a good place to work Uncapped commission — what you earn is up to you, not a salary band. Direct access. You work with the owner and a team that knows these systems inside and out, so you've always got backup — no red tape, no three layers of management. Flexibility. You've got a lot of control over your own schedule — we care about results, not clock-watching. Leads plus room to grow. You get a real flow of incoming work, plus all the upside you can build through referrals and relationships. Work you can feel good about — you're helping people make their homes look and feel better, not pushing something nobody wants. A solid team that pulls its weight and notices when you do good work. How to apply Send us your resume, plus a short note on why you think you'd be good at this job — that part tells us as much as the resume does.
