Overview The Business Development & Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving membership growth, enhancing brand awareness, and promoting credit union products and services through strategic marketing initiatives and community engagement. This role combines relationship-building with creative marketing strategies to expand the credit union's reach and strengthen member loyalty.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and pursue opportunities to grow membership and deepen relationships with existing members. Enhance partnership with Teamster Locals and community organizations to promote credit union services. Represent the credit union at community events, trade shows, and sponsor activities to increase visibility. Conduct presentations and educational sessions on credit union benefits for potential members and employer groups. Marketing:
Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms. Manage the credit union's website and social media presence to ensure consistent branding and engagement. Create promotional materials, newsletters, and member communications that align with brand standards. Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results. Support rebranding initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all marketing efforts. Member Engagement:
Develop programs to enhance member experience and loyalty. Coordinate special promotions, contests, and events to drive participation and awareness. Gather member feedback and collaborate with internal teams to improve services. Other Items:
This position will help support front-line staff lunch breaks on an ongoing basis. This will require backup support from 11:30 to 1pm daily. Requirements Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple projects across platforms, systems, and marketing channels with strong organizational, time-management, and follow‑through skills. Proficient in computer software and technology, including CRM systems, marketing tools, reporting, and basic analytical and math skills. Possesses strong skills in visual storytelling, social media fluency, and trend spotting. Ability to use sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Adaptable and responsive to changes in strategy, processes, products, branding, and workflows. Ability to travel as needed between branches, community events, partner locations, and off-site meetings. Proven ability to professionally represent and promote the Credit Union's brand, values, and reputation. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across in-person, digital, and presentation settings. Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Qualification Requirements:

Education / Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience Required:
Two or more years of progressively responsible experience in business development, marketing, community outreach, or a related discipline. Physical Requirements:
Sitting for extended periods of time. Requires close visual acuity. Frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects and forward reaching. Use of computer keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment. Benefits Include:
