Position Summary The Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving private dining and event revenue through proactive outreach, strategic relationship-building, and efficient conversion of personal leads. This role owns their own clients and manages the full lifecycle of their event leads from outreach through signed contract and deposit, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for prospective clients. This is a sales-focused role designed for a self-motivated individual with an existing presence in the events or hospitality industry. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter who can generate new business to grow private dining sales at Kann. This position operates in close collaboration with the Events Manager, culinary leadership, and front-of-house management to ensure clear communication and successful event execution.
Compensation is commission-based with a tiered structure based on event size. Key Responsibilities Proactive Sales & Revenue Generation Actively prospect and generate new business through outreach, networking, partnerships, and community engagement Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, concierges, and repeat guests Research and identify new business opportunities aligned with event programming and venue capacity. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase private dining and large-group bookings, with a focus on high-value events and buyouts Maintain a structured and active sales pipeline, tracking all personal leads, touchpoints, and follow-ups Follow up consistently on proposals, inquiries, and pending contracts to maximize conversion Support representation of the restaurant at local events, industry functions, and hospitality networking opportunities to grow visibility and strengthen brand presence. Client Experience & Sales Process Management Respond to all client communication within 48 hours with professionalism and brand-aligned tone Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and customized event packages Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track all outreach, touchpoints, and follow-ups using event management and project tracking tools. Coordinate with Event Manager for any walkthroughs, event holds, and vendor communication as needed.
Coordinate deposit collection with Event Manager or FOH Leadership. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, contracts, menus and relevant event files in the event management system Cross-Department Coordination Communicate all finalized event details clearly and efficiently to internal teams Coordinate directly with: Executive Chef / Culinary Team for all menu, dietary, and culinary notes, AGM / FOH Leadership for all service flow, staffing, and operational details Ensure all event information is complete, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner prior to execution Post-Event Review & Process Improvement Support billing, invoicing, deposits, and post-event reconciliation. Participate in post-event recaps with leadership and operations teams Document key insights, opportunities, and best practices in Asana Contribute to ongoing refinement of event systems, communication, and guest experienceQualifications 1 to 3 years of experience in hospitality sales, event coordination, or related field Strong sales instincts with the ability to prospect and close business Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads and timelines Experience with Tripleseat, Resy, or similar platforms preferred Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a commission-only structure
