Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical, process-driven Inside Sales Plumbing Specialist to manage inside sales operations within our plumbing division. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives on accuracy, structured problem-solving, and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will utilize their deep knowledge of plumbing products and industry trends to support customers, provide precise estimates, and process orders efficiently. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to implement and refine sales processes will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales & Customer Support:
Assist customers in selecting appropriate plumbing products, providing detailed technical guidance, and offering product alternatives based on application needs. Order Management & Accuracy:
Process inbound sales orders with precision, ensuring all specifications and customer requirements are met for seamless order fulfillment. Estimating & Quoting:
Collaborate with estimators to develop detailed bids, ensuring accuracy in pricing, material availability, and job-specific requirements. Inventory & Data Management:
Oversee the organization and optimization of plumbing inventory, ensuring stock levels align with customer demand. Utilize data to anticipate product needs and trends. Process Improvement & Documentation:
Identify inefficiencies in sales operations and implement structured solutions to enhance workflow, documentation, and customer satisfaction. Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and outside sales teams to ensure timely delivery and service excellence. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through consistent follow-ups, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Product & Industry Expertise:
Stay up-to-date on the latest plumbing technologies, materials, and trends. Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in inside sales is required , with a strong understanding of plumbing materials, fittings, and supplies . Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of plumbing products and their applications, including the ability to source both standard and specialty items. Sales & Customer Service Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist customers and build lasting relationships. Ability to analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Organizational & Time-Management Skills:
Ability to manage multiple orders, quotes, and customer interactions with a high level of accuracy. Strong attention to detail and structured approach to order processing, quoting, and documentation. Process-Driven & Collaborative Approach:
Ability to work independently while integrating seamlessly with warehouse, logistics, and outside sales teams. Comfortable following and improving structured workflows for efficiency. Technology & Systems Proficiency:
Experience with sales and inventory management software is a plus. Comfortable working with CRM systems and order tracking tools. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer or customer counter for extended periods. Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 lbs. as needed.
