In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships, maintaining existing accounts, and driving sales growth within the construction industry. Our company specializes in the sale of: Metal Deck Metal Studs Steel Joists Structural Steel We are looking for a results-driven professional with experience in structural steel, commercial construction, or related building materials. The ideal candidate understands the construction process, can read project opportunities, build strong contractor relationships, and confidently promote our products and services. This position offers a competitive salary plus commission structure with strong growth potential. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, and construction professionals Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within commercial and industrial construction markets Promote and sell metal deck, metal studs, joists, and structural steel products Prepare and present pricing, proposals, and product information to clients Follow up on bids, quotes, and project opportunities Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions Attend job sites, networking events, and industry meetings as needed Qualifications Previous outside sales experience in structural steel, construction materials, or related industries required Strong knowledge of commercial construction and steel products Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Experience working with contractors, builders, and project managers preferred Ability to read construction drawings and specifications is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Uncapped sales commission Growth opportunities within the company Supportive team environment Company resources and sales support provided Join our team and help us build the future with quality steel and construction solutions!
