- Part-time, Full-time Retail Fiber Internet Sales Representative — Walmart Program Brightspeed Fiber Campaign University Connect is launching a new retail sales program inside Walmart stores in Brightspeed fiber expansion markets.
We are looking for outgoing, energetic, confident sales representatives who can engage customers, explain exclusive Brightspeed fiber internet offers, and help local families get connected to better internet service. This is a brand-new national program with real room for advancement. Everyone starts in the field, learns the program from the ground up, and earns leadership opportunities by proving they can perform at every level. This position is with University Connect, not Walmart or Brightspeed. What You'll Be Doing You will represent University Connect inside Walmart, either in the electronics department or near the front of the store, speaking with customers about Brightspeed fiber internet availability and exclusive offers that are not available anywhere else. Walmart stores bring in thousands of customers per day, which creates a strong opportunity to meet people, explain the offer, check availability, complete enrollments, schedule follow-ups, and build relationships in the local community. You will also have the opportunity to help customers who are interested in service but may not be serviceable yet by collecting their information for future follow-up as Brightspeed continues expanding its fiber optic network. This role is perfect for someone who is naturally outgoing, funny, enthusiastic, optimistic, and not afraid to start conversations with strangers all day. You should be the type of person who can be a friendly "stop sign" in a busy retail environment — someone who gets attention, creates energy, and makes people want to talk. Pay $10/hour base pay, or applicable state/local minimum wage if higher $50 commission per completed enrollment Paid training period during your first 7 days No minimum sales obligation during your first 7 days After your first 7 days, the minimum expectation is 2 enrollments per week. Schedule We offer two daily shift options: 9:00 AM
- 5:00 PM 12:00 PM
- 8:00 PM This is a semi-flexible position, but Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required.
Additional weekday hours, local events, and community activations may also be available. We train you, coach you, and help you get comfortable with the offer, the customer conversation, the enrollment process, and the follow-up system. More Than Just Walmart Walmart is the core of this program, but University Connect is built around community activation. Outside of Walmart, our teams work local events such as farmers markets, flea markets, music festivals, food festivals, college events, and other community-based activations. We believe in becoming a visible, trusted local point of contact for internet service, not just sitting behind a table. We also train our representatives how to become active in local community pages, event pages, and social media groups in a professional way that helps create leads, conversations, and referrals. University Connect also partners with colleges nationwide for fundraisers, fall rush events, campus activations, sweepstakes, prizes, and community give-back opportunities. As students return to campus and need internet service, our goal is to help them get the best deal, the easiest sign-up experience, and a connection to local programs that support the community.
