Job Description

Danzer is a quality hardwood company with headquarters located in Ruggell, Liechtenstein. Approximately 1,200 employees work for Danzer. Customers are served from 12 sales offices worldwide. Founded in 1932, the family-oriented company is managed by a member of the third generation. Danzer produces sliced veneer, lumber and innovative value-added wood products for decorative applications in high-quality furniture, automobiles, and interior architecture. Danzer Veneer Americas, located in Darlington, PA is looking for a Sales/Product trainee to join our export sales team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in sales specializing in wood products. The Sales Trainee will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to develop essential sales skills in the wood industry. Why wood? Duties:
Learn about the company's products and services to effectively promote and sell them. Assist the senior sales team in generating leads and closing sales with customer visits and follow-up. Participate in sales meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets. Conduct market research to conduct new business opportunities. Training can be 6-12 months depending on motivation and learning path of the trainee.
Requirements:
Strong interest in sales in business development in the wood/veneer industry. Excellent communication whether written or verbal with strong negotiation skills. Customer service oriented with a focus on building long-term working relationships with vendors and customers. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Positive attitude and the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and departments. Organized with emphasis on being detail oriented with the ability to prioritize.
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in business or forestry products preferred. Ability or desire to travel internationally 2-3 times annually. Ability to travel domestically 25% of the time. Fluency in Spanish is advantageous for engaging with a diverse customer base, but not required. Ability to participate in limited physical activity as it is required when setting up displays for customer visits. Professional appearance and demeanor.
