Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
To develop new customers and opportunities for add value products. Manage sales for direct OEM business and steel distribution centers for automotive end-users. Support rest of local SSAB organization (SSS) with all SSE sales policies and governance, price strategy and product strategy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Negotiation of current business on regular cadence. Foster current customer relationships and establish new ones. Responsible for assigned area with special focus on Premium product sales strategy development. Sales management tools; Sales Force, Price configurator Forecasting Tool Business development identifies all possible opportunities, which can be offered by SSAB. Identifying target customers and strategy as it relates to overall growth objectives. Interfacing with Inside Sales, Marketing, and Business Development as part of a working team. Regular and reliable attendance
QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies and Experience Required:
Driver's license Knowledge in metals products, special products, and Automotive. Experience establishing and growing relationships with OEMs Customer Service Experience Negotiation experience Proficient in Microsoft Office, notably Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel Ability to work autonomously; self-starting

Bachelor's degree in business or five years of equivalent sales work experience
Preferred:
MBA SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / DIRECT REPORTS
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as follows: Alternate sitting and standing as needed throughout the 8-hour shift The position requires the following talking, vision, and hearing capabilities: Talking person to person, on the phone, and in a group setting Hearing in person, on the phone, and in a group setting Vision near, midrange, far, and peripheral vision Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Position is full time, exempt, and is not eligible for overtime. Position works an eight (8) hour day shift Occasionally (1-33%) travel by airplane Frequently (34-67%) travel by car
