This role is ideal for someone with experience in the lumber and building supply industry who enjoys helping customers, managing projects, and supporting sales operations. You'll work with contractors, builders, remodelers, and homeowners to ensure they receive the products and service needed to complete their projects successfully. Primary Duties Build strong relationships with existing and new customers while identifying opportunities to increase sales Assist customers with product selection for construction, renovation, and home improvement projects Generate detailed estimates and pricing for lumber, windows, doors, decking, millwork, and related materials Coordinate showroom consultations, job site meetings, deliveries, and installation schedules Process and monitor special-order materials from order placement through delivery Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner Keep showroom displays organized, stocked, and visually appealing Prepare customer orders and assist with material staging for deliveries Process customer payments, manage deposits, and communicate delivery details Work Schedule Full-time hours Saturday availability required as business needs dictate Closed Sundays Desired Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer support, or a related role Working knowledge of building products and lumber materials, including: Interior and exterior doors Windows Trim and moulding products Millwork components Ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints is a plus Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and computer software Strong verbal communication and customer service skills Professional phone manner and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience handling cash, credit card, and account transactions Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds when necessary Able to remain standing or seated for extended periods throughout the workday Dependable team player interested in long-term career growth Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance options 401(k) retirement savings plan Paid time off Employee purchase discounts Location This is an on-site position at a single location.
