Sales/Business Development Representative for Allegra Baltimore Established commercial printing/signage company in the Baltimore metro area seeks a full-time Business Development Representative to grow our book of business. We are a small business of 19 employees and you will be working on a team with our Sales Representative and 3 Customer Service Representatives. We are a full-service one-stop shop for printed items and signage on any substrate, including graphic design, copies, business cards, folders, booklets, apparel, promotional items, signage, banners and more. Most of our clients are other businesses in the Baltimore and DC metro areas, Delaware, surrounding states, and across the country.
About this role:
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for growing our business through prospecting, networking, and managing accounts for new customers
Develop and follow up on prospect lists through market research, networking, cold calling/emailing, and warm calling/emailing
You will be inheriting a small book of business to start, however, the main focus of this role is developing prospects into new clients.
Work with prospects to propose solutions to their problems and share information on additional services we can provide. Creative problem solving is key.
Set up appointments with prospects, including both in-person visits and calls/video calls, evaluate their needs, and propose printing/signage solutions.
Advocate for your clients when working with our Design and Operation teams, ensuring a 5-star experience for every client.
Become proficient with our print management/estimating software (Printers Plan) and our customer relationship management CRM (Plan Prophet), as well as learning the specifics of printing, signage, promo, apparel and marketing services we sell.
Schedule and location:
Full-time role
Onsite preferred but potential for hybrid remote schedule
If you are an experienced Sales Representative and demonstrate that you can meet your sales goals without close supervision, we are flexible on adjusting the onsite vs hybrid schedule, after initial training has been completed.
Pay:
Base pay (salary) $40,000 per year plus generous commission structure
Sales commission paid biweekly. No cap on sales commissions.

Desired Qualifications:
At least 2 years of full-time experience doing outside sales with a successful track record of meeting documented sales goals
Comfortable working under deadline pressure
Outgoing and confident, able to make presentations and learn about people through conversation.
Experience in commercial printing, signage, or apparel industries is a plus, but not a requirement. If you are new to this industry, you should be prepared to quickly learn about product types, specifications, pricing and deadline turnarounds.
Comfortable with rejection and able to stay positive and persistent with prospects.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Proficient with key technology for remote work and equipped to join video calls from home, if working remotely.
