We're Looking For A Rock Star. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career in sales or take their sales career to the next level. Someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, solving problems, and wants to help a business grow. This is not a traditional BDR role. This is a hybrid Business Development and Account Growth position designed to become the foundation of a growing sales organization. You'll work directly alongside company leadership and our VP of Sales to help scale two growing businesses: WP Haven - WordPress maintenance, security, hosting, and website performance management emBold - Web design, development, mobile applications, branding, and digital solutions If you're coachable, organized, competitive, and excited about helping businesses succeed, this role offers an opportunity to learn a proven sales system and grow into a larger sales position or sales leadership role over time. Who We Are WP Haven helps businesses, agencies, and organizations protect and optimize one of their most important business assets—their website. We proactively manage WordPress websites through: Security management, Plugin and PHP updates, Performance optimization, Hosting oversight, Website monitoring, and Technical support Our sister company, emBold, designs and develops websites, applications, and digital experiences for organizations throughout the country. Together, we serve more than 200 active clients and continue to grow through referrals, partnerships, and long-term client relationships. Why This Role Exists Historically, growth has been driven primarily through founder relationships and referrals. We're now building a scalable sales organization and need someone who can help create pipeline, deepen client relationships, identify opportunities, and support growth initiatives. You'll work directly with company leadership and our VP of Sales to execute the sales strategy, prospect new opportunities, support partner development, and help build the systems that fuel future growth. What You'll Do - 3 Prongs Business Development Prospect and identify new opportunities Research target accounts and industries Conduct outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and referrals Schedule discovery meetings Manage prospect follow-up activities Maintain accurate CRM records Support partner and referral development initiatives Account Growth Build relationships with existing clients and transition current founder-led accounts Identify cross-sell opportunities between WP Haven and emBold Support client retention initiatives Generate referrals from satisfied customers Monitor customer needs and identify expansion opportunities Sales Operations Utilize ClickUp CRM consistently Track activities and pipeline progression Participate in sales meetings and coaching sessions Learn and apply Sandler and other proven selling methodologies Support KPI reporting and forecasting activities What Success Looks Like First 30 Days Complete onboarding and product training Understand target customer profiles Learn sales playbook, sales process, and CRM standards Participate in discovery meetings Begin prospecting activities First 60 Days Schedule qualified discovery meetings independently Build a consistent prospecting rhythm Develop referral and partner relationships Demonstrate CRM discipline First 90 Days Consistently generate pipeline opportunities Identify client expansion opportunities Contribute to recurring revenue growth Operate independently within the sales process By End of 2026 Become a trusted advisor to clients and prospects Contribute significantly to new pipeline creation Support predictable recurring revenue growth Position yourself for future advancement opportunities Who You Are You may be an excellent fit if you: Enjoy meeting and connecting with people Are naturally curious and ask great questions Like solving business problems Are organized and accountable Follow through on commitments Are comfortable learning technology concepts Can balance persistence with professionalism Want coaching and professional development Preferred Qualifications 1-5 years of sales, business development, account management, customer success, recruiting, or relationship management experience Experience using CRM systems Strong written and verbal communication skills LinkedIn and AI proficiency Ability to work independently IT, Website, WordPress, Agency, or other related experience Why You'll Succeed Here You'll receive: Direct mentorship from company leadership Ongoing coaching from a supportive VP of Sales Formal sales process training Exposure to digital marketing, web development, and technology solutions Opportunity to help build and scale a sales organization Clear career growth opportunities Most sales roles hand you a script. Compensation Base Salary $40,000 - $60,000 Variable Compensation & Commission Uncapped performance incentives & bonuses based on one or many of these factors: Discovery meetings generated, Qualified opportunities created, New recurring revenue generated, Client expansion opportunities, Partner-sourced opportunities, Closed Project Opportunities On-Target Earnings (OTE) $75,000 - $100,000+ Exceptional performers will have opportunities to exceed OTE significantly as the organization grows.
