No What We Do/Project We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD drafter and facilities design specialist to support Director, WBSO Projects and Manager CAFM Administration. This position will be responsible for coordinating drawings for construction projects, close out drawing conversion to polyline and uploading to facility software platforms. Other functions will be drafting and drawings undocumented buildings or modified stages and offices. This position requires experienced with AutoCAD (latest versions) and 2-D drawings Experience reading and working with 2-D construction drawings teams and multiple projects. Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
  • Assist the Manager CAFM Administration with all Studio Services projects and facilities documentation and document management as required.
  • Develop drawings and assemble facilities drawing sets for specific projects.
  • Perform field surveys and develop as-built drawings for existing facilities in a campus like setting.
  • Review and manage hard-copy facilities documents, including large format scanning and plotting.
  • Compiles and organizes project files, including current and record drawings
  • Coordinate with Studio Services personnel and design professionals as needed to maintain accurate facilities documentation Must Have Skills / Requirements 1) Experienced with AutoCAD (latest versions) and 2-D facilities drawings a.
2-3 years of experience. 2) Excellent computer proficiency and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Adobe Suite, Acrobat Pro a. 1-2 years. 3) Field Survey experience a. 1-2 years of experience. Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements 1) College or trade school specific certification or degree a plus 2) Experience working in a campus environment a plus 3) Experience with
CAFM/IWMS
systems a plus (Planon, Eptura, Archibus, IBM/Tririga)
Soft Skills:
1) Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness in gathering insight. 2) Experience reading and working with construction drawings/documents 3) Able to read and understand construction documents, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil, and other disciplines 4) Able to understand the logic of a structure and represent this in a 2-D drawing 5) Ability and experience doing field survey work to document existing conditions and generate as-built drawings 6) Able to climb stairs and work in high places (catwalks) as may be needed 7) Ability to pivot quickly from one project or priority to another as may be needed 8) Able to work both on-site and remotely as work assignments dictate 9) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 10) Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
