The Commercial Services Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving growth, retention, and satisfaction within Unitus' commercial member base by delivering customized Treasury Management solutions. This relationship-driven role partners closely with internal teams and external business members to identify strategic opportunities, source deposits, grow fee income, and strengthen member relationships through expert financial consultation, sales leadership, while making significant contributions to ensure our commitment for unparalleled service - the kind that creates the Unitus difference . This is a hybrid position based from the Unitus Business Center, Tigard OR Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and close Treasury Management opportunities with both prospective and existing commercial members, emphasizing strategies that optimize cash flow, improve efficiency, and manage risk. Collaborate with Commercial Lenders and Branch Managers to provide consultative guidance to cross-sell complementary products and services, driving overall portfolio growth. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle—from discovery and proposal to onboarding and relationship expansion—delivering a seamless member experience. Support revenue growth by achieving or exceeding annual deposit, fee income, and retention goals. Maintain an active portfolio of business members, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention through consistent communication, proactive financial reviews, and tailored recommendations. Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred. Experience - Minimum of 5-7 years of Treasury Management, Cash Management, or Commercial Banking sales experience. Proven success in portfolio growth, consultative sales, and relationship management.
