About Chatham Oaks Growth Solutions Chatham Oaks Growth Solutions (COGS) is an embedded technology and growth partner helping small and mid-sized organizations modernize, scale, and operate more efficiently through: AI and automation custom software and digital platforms operational systems and integrations marketing and SEO infrastructure technology strategy and support We work with businesses, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, and regional organizations throughout Cape Cod and New England to solve complex operational and growth challenges without the overhead of building a full internal tech team. Position Overview COGS is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and highly organized Community & Business Development Associate to help expand our local presence, strengthen strategic relationships, support marketing initiatives, and generate new business opportunities throughout Cape Cod and New England. This is a relationship-driven growth role focused on: networking partnerships workshops and events community engagement marketing support lead generation business development The ideal candidate is coachable, proactive, personable, and excited to grow professionally while making a direct impact on a growing business and local community. Responsibilities Community Engagement & Networking Attend local networking events, workshops, and community gatherings Represent COGS professionally within the local business community Build relationships with local business owners and organizations Participate in relevant business and community groups Help strengthen the COGS brand throughout Cape Cod and New England Identify local business pain points and growth opportunities Partnership Development Build and maintain relationships with: chambers of commerce nonprofits tourism organizations local vendors agencies strategic referral partners Schedule and coordinate partnership meetings Identify referral and co-marketing opportunities Maintain ongoing communication and follow-up with partners Help grow long-term referral relationships Workshops & Event Coordination Help organize and coordinate workshops, networking events, and educational sessions Assist with: venue coordination attendee communication event logistics registrations sponsorship outreach post-event follow-up Represent COGS during events and workshops Help generate leads and business opportunities through events Marketing & Growth Support Support execution of marketing campaigns and growth initiatives Assist with: social media coordination email newsletters workshop promotion local outreach campaigns case study collection community content gathering Help maintain consistent local brand visibility Support marketing efforts tied to partnerships and events Lead Generation & Business Development Support Generate qualified business opportunities through networking and outreach Book meetings and discovery calls for the leadership team Track leads and follow-up activity within CRM systems Help nurture long-term referral and business relationships Support ongoing business growth initiatives Qualifications Required Skills & Traits Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with strong follow-through Outgoing and comfortable meeting new people Self-motivated and proactive Coachable and eager to learn Professional and reliable Strong time management skills Comfortable using technology and digital communication tools Additional Requirements Cape Cod Residency & Local Knowledge Residence on Cape Cod is required Strong familiarity with Cape Cod communities, businesses, seasonal dynamics, and the regional business environment is critical Existing involvement in local communities, organizations, or networking circles is a strong plus Interest in AI & Technology Strong interest in AI, emerging technology, and business innovation is important Comfortable researching, learning, and experimenting with new AI tools and platforms Willingness to continuously learn how AI and automation can improve business operations, marketing, and customer experiences Interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, or digital growth is highly valued Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Internship, leadership, customer service, hospitality, sales, marketing, or event experience is a plus Familiarity with Cape Cod or New England communities is a plus Compensation & BenefitsCompensatio n Starting pay: $23/hour Performance-based commission opportunities Bonus incentives tied to growth and business development goals Gas/travel reimbursement for approved business travel Compensation is designed to grow alongside performance, impact, and company growth.
