Deck Guru specializes in helping homeowners repair, restore, resurface, and upgrade their existing decks, giving clients a practical and high-quality alternative to full replacement when possible. We provide company-generated leads, estimating support, design support, sales materials, and project management support so our sales team can focus on meeting with homeowners, building trust, and closing projects. Position Overview Deck Guru is seeking a motivated Independent Sales Contractor to meet with pre-qualified residential leads, evaluate existing deck and outdoor living needs, develop project scopes, and close sales. Deck Guru focuses on existing deck projects, including staining, restoration, upgrades, wood deck replacement, and Trex/composite deck replacement. Project sizes vary, giving sales consultants the opportunity to work with homeowners on both smaller maintenance projects and larger outdoor living improvements. Responsibilities Meet with company-provided leads at customer homes Discuss project goals, budget, and design ideas with clients Develop project scope and pricing (with estimating support) Follow up with customers and close sales Communicate project details clearly to the production team Maintain organized notes and updates in company CRM Represent the company professionally throughout the sales process What We Provide Company-generated leads (no cold calling required) Estimating and design support Project management support Established reputation and portfolio Sales materials and proposal templates Opportunity to earn strong commissions on high-value projects Requirements Sales experience (construction or home improvement preferred) Strong communication and people skills Self-motivated and organized Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable using a computer and CRM system Ability to manage multiple clients and follow up consistently Compensation This is a commission-based independent contractor position. Deck Guru projects may range from smaller staining and restoration projects to larger deck upgrades, replacements, and composite resurfacing projects. Typical project pricing can range from approximately $2,500 to $35,000+ , depending on deck size, project type, materials, and scope. Motivated sales professionals have strong earning potential through consistent company-provided leads, repeat follow-up, and the ability to close multiple deck restoration, upgrade, and replacement projects. Schedule Flexible schedule. Appointments occur during the week day, evenings and weekends based on customer availability.
