We are growing our sales team and looking for experienced, self-motivated 1099 representatives who can operate across the full scope of exterior home sales
  • roofing, siding, and other exterior products
  • in both insurance restoration and retail environments.
If you can close retail, you'll thrive here. About the Role This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Reps work under the direction of our sales manager and are responsible for self-generating their own leads. We offer a structured path forward: Self-generated leads are the foundation of this role Existing company leads may be available for purchase at the sales manager's discretion Reps who demonstrate consistent, professional performance may qualify for company-provided leads at the sales manager's discretion We handle both insurance restoration work (hail, wind, storm damage) and retail sales, with a growing focus on retail roofing and siding. The ability to educate a homeowner and close a project without an insurance claim driving the decision is a skill we value highly. We have a dedicated production manager and support team in place. Once a job is sold, our operations team handles scheduling, materials, crews, and execution. Your focus is inspections, homeowner education, closing, and customer service — not managing builds. Reps who thrive in this environment and consistently hit quota within their first 90 days may be offered a full-time W-2 position, including a company vehicle, 100% employer-paid healthcare, and additional long-term growth opportunities within the company.   • Self-generate leads and prospect under the direction of our sales manager
  • Conduct thorough roof and exterior inspections
  • Run retail sales appointments and close projects on their own merit
  • Assess hail, wind, and storm damage and compile reports for insurance claims
  • Attend adjuster meetings and guide homeowners through the insurance and restoration process
  • Travel to areas affected by recent storm activity when opportunities arise
  • Participate in local networking events and trade shows to promote the company and develop leads
  • Educate homeowners on roofing, siding, and exterior options and recommend upgrades where appropriate
  • Communicate consistently through our CRM from first contact through project completion
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Represent Barkley-Jensen professionally at every touchpoint What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of exterior home sales experience, OR a strong background in exterior production or project management with a desire to move into sales
  • Demonstrated ability to close retail sales

  • Strong understanding of insurance claims and the property damage restoration process
  • Proven ability to self-generate leads and prospect independently

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed Compensation This is a commission-based 1099 position with a competitive commission structure and no cap on earnings.
Your income is a direct reflection of your effort, skill, and performance.

  • $250,000+ depending on production
