POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Sales Development Program at Demag and R&M is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in industrial sales. This structured, hands-on program provides the training, experience, and support needed to grow into a Regional Sales Manager Role. As a Field Sales Development Associate, you will participate in a 14-18 month rotational program designed to give you a complete understanding of our products, customers, and sales process. You will gain real-world experience while working alongside experienced professionals across multiple departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop the ability to configure and quote crane and hoist systems Support application analysis and proposal development Collaborate with Customer Service, Product Support, and Marketing teams Build an understanding of distributor relationships and sales channels Assist in resolving customer and technical inquiries Develop the skills to effectively position products in a competitive market
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Interest in building a career in sales, business, or technical/industrial environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn technical products Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to grow Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred Interest in working with people and building long-term relationships Exposure to customer service, team-based environments, or roles that involve direct interaction with others Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a team Interest in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments is a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to relocate within the United States upon program completion Ability to travel internationally, locally, and outside the service area for operational requirements & training when necessary.
