About PowderWatts PowderWatts helps property owners intelligently manage rooftop heat cable systems through monitoring, automation, and energy optimization. Our platform reduces wasted energy, lowers operating costs, helps prevent winter damage, and gives owners real visibility into systems that have historically been unmanaged and expensive to operate. We work with HOAs, resorts, property managers, developers, commercial ownership groups, and residential communities across mountain markets where energy costs, infrastructure constraints, and winter risk create urgent demand for smarter solutions. We are an early-stage, high-growth company backed by industry, utility, and government support — building in a category with massive long-term potential. Why it's compelling: Virtually no competitors Clear ROI (easy story to sell) Strong demand in cold-weather markets Early-stage, high upside About the Role We're looking for a commercially minded Account Executive who knows how to create momentum. This is a true hunter role. You'll be responsible for prospecting, building relationships, identifying opportunities, conducting property walkthroughs, and helping customers understand the operational and financial value of the PowderWatts platform. The right person is proactive, resourceful, comfortable in the field, and energized by building something from the ground up.
You should be comfortable:
Prospecting and cold outreach Navigating property ownership and management groups Running in-person meetings and site visits Managing longer commercial sales cycles Following up consistently without needing constant oversight Handling ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment This is not a sit-behind-a-desk sales role. Responsibilities Build and manage a pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities Generate new business through outreach, networking, referrals, and local market presence Develop relationships with property managers, HOAs, facilities teams, developers, and ownership groups Conduct on-site property surveys and system assessments (training provided) Prepare proposals, pricing, and utility incentive documentation Guide customers through the sales process from first conversation through contract execution Coordinate internally with operations and leadership to move projects forward Represent PowderWatts at industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline activity What We're Looking For Has been an early AE or wants to be Proven closer (can point to real numbers) Comfortable in ambiguity, someone who builds, not waits Outbound-driven Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently Comfortable with field-based and in-person sales Ability to manage multiple deals and follow-up cycles simultaneously Resilient, practical, and action-oriented personality Existing network in Park City, Utah, property management, construction, hospitality, or commercial real estate is a major plus Preferred backgrounds include: Property management Commercial services Facilities management Construction or building systems HVAC, roofing, solar, or energy-related industries Commercial real estate This is a zero-to-one role. No inbound engine. You'll build pipeline, shape the motion, and close deals. Compensation & Opportunity $60,000-$80,000 base salary plus uncapped commission ($160,000 OTE) Potential equity participation for the right candidate Opportunity to grow into regional or senior commercial leadership roles High autonomy and direct exposure to company leadership Ability to help shape the future sales organization as the company scales nationally Why PowderWatts This is an opportunity to join an early-stage company solving a real operational and energy problem in a large underserved market. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
