Description Our client in the industrial automation sector is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to spearhead regional growth across the Delaware, Maryland, and Southern New Jersey manufacturing sectors. This is a business development role designed for a professional who excels at facility walk-throughs, identifying physical plant floor bottlenecks, and delivering high-value capital equipment solutions. The product and technology portfolio covers critical operational zones across the modern manufacturing plant, specializing in integrated conveyor layouts, material handling automation, and end-of-line (EOL) packaging systems. The assigned territory contains an established base of recurring client accounts, but the primary focus of this role is new-business development where success relies on outbound activity, territory development, and sales follow-through. You will be supported by an internal technical design team, company-provided sales tools, customer data, lead lists, and hands-on training from leadership. Our client is looking for a self-driven hunter with outside B2B sales experience, strong outbound prospecting skills, and the ability to discuss machinery or mechanical equipment with manufacturing customers. Responsibilities Own and grow territory across Delaware, Maryland and Southern NJ Prospect through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and in-person facility visits Conduct on-site plant assessments to identify mechanical inefficiencies and process vulnerabilities Present and sell solutions centered around conveyor, sorting, and end-of-line packaging automation Build quotes and negotiate pricing with customers and internal teams Partner with technical teams on custom automation systems and project handoffs Gather measurements, photos, videos, and specs to support accurate project scoping Maintain activity, lead follow-up, and sales pipeline visibility in CRM Represent the company at customer sites and industry trade shows Outside Sales Representative - Automation & Industrial Machinery (2+ yrs exp. req.)
