Outside Sales Representative

We are looking to hire a friendly, driven, first rate Outside Sales Representative to generate sales and equipment rentals for our Kona Branch.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

1 year experience of sales experience perferred.

Preferred:

2 years construction equipment rental and sales experience including experience demonstrating a wide variety of equipment.

Responsibilities:

Visit potential and current clients in person to build long-lasting business relationships. Help customers solve their issues with our services. Research and stay updated on industry products, services, and pricing of competitors or related markets to ensure our company is a customer's first choice. Analyze data, develop, and implement sales strategies to drive equipment rentals and sales. Create and maintain customer database and accurate records and reports. Develop marketing materials to expand market share and increase company recognition. Meet or exceed sales targets. Team player - Assist walk-in customers and customer calls. Performs all duties and interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

Able and willing to travel off-island. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with homeowners, sole proprietors, laborers, large corporate managers in various industries in private and public sectors. Strong problem-solving skills to assist customers with their equipment needs. Knows when to tap into resources of other branches or escalate to owner. Able to learn to safely operate various rental and sales equipment and perform basic equipment familiarization for customers. Able to react to changing business needs. Responsive. Able to understand financial statements and create basic sales contracts. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent independent judgement. Able to multi-task and use organizational and time management skills to manage multiple deadlines to accomplish goals. Organized. Computer literate. Microsoft office - Excel (Beginner-Intermediate level); Word (Beginner); Able to learn POS rental program - we will train Basic math for receivables, budgets, bills, collection, inventory, etc. Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance record. Able to pass certified forklift and aerial lift training. Able to maintain various logs (e.g., delivery and fuel log). Pass company drug test.

Certificates/Licenses:

Must have valid driver's license and clean driver abstract
