Outside Salesperson - Building Materials Builders Best - Cortland, NY 13045 Job Summary The Outside Sales position involves selling construction and building products, windows and doors directly to contractors, builders, developers, and homeowners. They support customers in product selection, preparing quotes, managing accounts, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, homeowners, architects, and suppliers. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through acquired leads and/or cold calls. Travel to job sites to consult with customers, recommend products, and communicate product options for their projects. Present product information, prepare quotes, negotiate pricing through order placement. Work with customers on product issues providing after-sales support. Pursue and maintain product knowledge and trends within the construction industry. Coordinate with internal staff on customer deliveries. Common Products Sold

Decking Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' experience in the building materials industry.
Extensive knowledge of building materials and terminology. Strong communication skills as applied with customer service and relationship building. Ability to problem solve and implement sustainable solutions. Organizational and time management skills. Math Skills for estimating, pricing, and order calculations. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and construction plans. Computer proficiency with POS systems. Valid driver's license.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
