Job Description

Job Summary Interwest Safety Supply LLC is a leading manufacturer and distributor of highway safety and traffic control products serving state DOTs, municipalities, highway contractors, and traffic control companies throughout the Mountain West. Our core product lines include highway signs, signposts, crash cushions, traffic control devices, traffic counting equipment, and related roadway safety solutions. With five divisions across the region, Interwest is committed to safety, quality, and long-term customer partnerships. Interwest Safety Supply seeks a high-performing, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and expand market presence throughout Colorado and Wyoming. This role is responsible for developing new business, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and expanding market share within governmental jurisdictions, contractors, and traffic control organizations. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and thrives in a consultative B2B sales environment. Experience in traffic safety or roadway products is strongly preferred. Depending upon experience, skills and knowledge, we offer a base salary of $70k-$80k with and uncapped commission structure. Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Business Development Drive sales growth and consistently exceed established revenue goals Identify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned territory Expand market share within targeted product categories Strategic Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers Develop long-term partnerships with state, county, and municipal agencies Provide consultative solutions aligned with customer needs and project specifications Product & Market Expertise Develop comprehensive knowledge of Interwest's product portfolio Learn and interpret state, county, and municipal specifications and codes Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase solutions Collaborate with vendors to align product capabilities with customer requirements Collaboration & Reporting Partner with leadership and the broader sales team to execute growth strategies Maintain accurate CRM documentation of sales activities and pipeline progress Participate in trade shows, marketing initiatives, and training programs Other Duties Conduct daily business in compliance with company policies and departmental guidelines. Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by Supervisor. The position involves standing and walking at client sites, trade shows, and events, as well as sitting for meetings and computer work. Must be able to lift and move product samples or materials up to 25-50 lbs. (with or without assistance), and perform tasks such as bending, reaching, and setting up displays. Regular use of a computer, tablet, and smartphone is required. Ability to read and review documents, operate electronic devices, travel safely, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual settings is essential. Work is performed in client offices, event venues, vehicles, and occasional outdoor environments with varying noise levels and conditions.
